Celebrating Our 500th Prayer Call Recording! #MidnightCry

On December 10th, 2020, we recorded our 500th prayer call for #MidnightCry! Wow!! We have prayed together at least 500 times over the course of 6 years! To God be ALL the glory for ALL the things He has done!

It was no coincidence that our 500th recording occurred at the beginning of Hanukkah (12/10-12/18), which is the Feast of Dedications on the Hebrew calendar. We included this idea of dedication and rededication as we celebrated this milestone by sharing testimonies; partaking in Holy Communion as a family; and dedicating the year 2021 to the Lord.

Listen to our final prayer call for 2020 and join your heart with ours as we thanked God for all He did this year; as we prayed over the new year; and as we rededicated ourselves to the Lord’s complete service and purpose for our lives, in Jesus Name!

Have a Merry Christmas and a very prosperous and healthy New Year! 🎉

Midnight Cry (Prayer Call)

And at midnight a cry was heard: “Behold the Bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Him!”….. and those who were ready went in with Him to the wedding and the door was shut. – Matthew 25: 6 &10b NKJV

Two years ago, the Lord gave me the idea to host a prayer call in which I would intercede on behalf of the attendees. At the time, I did not feel I was capable of doing such a “task” and kept asking God to give me confirmation. About 2 weeks ago, He reminded me of what He placed on my heart 2 years ago. As I was scrolling my social media timeline late one night, I was drawn to the number of #TeamNoSleep tweets that were being posted and the kinds of conversations that took place online after hours. That night the Lord reminded me of the vision He placed in my heart and gave me the title “Midnight Cry” from Matthew 25:6. Imagine how powerful it would be if we were all praying at that time? As I continued to seek Him further, what was confirmed was for me to host a prayer call at midnight on Mondays to Fridays, where people can call in and join their hearts in prayer at that time.

Why midnight?

Midnight symbolizes the breaking of a new day, but is simultaneously a dark time of night. As I processed this I thought about the spiritual significance of midnight. It’s that point where, although we’ve been ushered into a new season (a new day), everything around us may still look and feel so dark and dismal. I know for a fact that when we are going through really difficult seasons, midnight can feel like God has abandoned us, like we’re all alone with no one to talk to or call on. It’s at this time that the enemy attacks our vulnerability and our weak frame with thoughts and emotions that are impure, negative, and/or defeating. And, if unchallenged, these thoughts and emotions can lead to impure, negative, and defeating actions. How many regretful decisions have been made in midnight hours? Help us Lord!

Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. He further admonishes us therefore to cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and to bring every [negative, impure, defeating] thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

The 5 wise virgins were found ready and waiting when the midnight cry went forth that the Bridegroom had returned. While we do not know when the Lord will return, we do know that we want to be ready…. even more so at those times when our vulnerability and weak nature cause us to be distracted and off-guard. Sometimes praying for ourselves, by ourselves can be difficult during times like this. This is why this prayer call is needed. I invite you to call in and be a part of this time of intimacy as we petition God literally in the midnight hour of our distresses and varying situations. We are all hurting and going through different life tests. No man is an island. Let’s go to God together (Ref. Matthew 18:20).
