1 Kings 17:7-97 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah, saying, 9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”

I studied this passage recently and received fresh revelation for the specific season that many of you feel you’re in right now. There are those who feel ready to go to the next place God has for you, but don’t feel like it’s happening quickly enough. There are also those who are mourning or grieving the loss of something in your life in this season. If you fit in any of those categories, keep reading!

If you’re in a season where you feel empty and lost like the lights have gone out in your situation, like you don’t know where else to turn or what else to do… these are all symptoms of death or something expiring. If you find yourself in a dead, dry, or expired place today, take heart for God is about to give you your next set of instructions! He said to Elijah: “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”

Be encouraged: Provisions have already been made in the place of your next assignment; you just need to get there!
